Our 12.5" Mid Length Barrel is designed with a taper profile for better balance and performance. The Chamber area has more mass to support with heat absorption during heavy fire while keeping weight centered to the AR-15. The taper leads to a light front end for better handling and a well-balanced AR-15 even when used with modern accessories such as suppressors, lights and night vision/IR devices.

Super Duty - 5.56 Bolt Carrier Group
To improve gas efficiency, each gas key is hand flattened to true the surface. Furthermore, each carrier has a gasket hand applied between the gas key and the carrier. Gas key is torqued to spec using OCKS (Optimized Carrier Key Screw) and properly staked.

12.5 upper fsb without carry handle

Mini Dissipator
Received my 12.5” FSB and it married up to my SBR lower perfectly. I also installed a Vltor A5 buffer system and I just got back from the range. This rifle’s felt recoil reminds me of a 16”. Super soft and I can get back on target immediately after a shot breaks. The ejection pattern is exactly where it’s supposed to be. Aegis has some of the best customer service in the business.
